Slowly Realizing My Summer To-Do List

My summer holiday has begun and I am enjoying it right now. My spring semester result is already out and I am on the Dean’s List again this semester. :) That means my mom lost the bet and she bought me an iPad as a compensation. The latest one!

So the prince and princess got married, the bad guy is dead and I got myself an iPad. It is a magical fairytale indeed! Betting is my mom’s way to motivate me so that I work hard. She doesn’t need to do that actually; I love pleasuring pressuring myself anyway. :P

With the summer holiday already started, I tried and realize my to-do list one by one. I start out by developing my very first WordPress plugins. It lets me display my tweets on my blog. I know there are lots of plugins like this but I want to try and familiarize myself with the WordPress and PHP API by coding a plugin myself. Hey, we all have to start out somewhere right? Instead of learning PHP from scratch, I just utilize the API. It is faster and easier that way. Next thing I know, I am getting a hang of PHP really fast! I really missed seeing codes in my blog so I may post up a tutorial on how I created the plugins.

I have another goal: Finish Singularity. As a gamer, I always enjoy a first person shooter game with a great storyline. I tried it out a little bit during the spring break and I got hooked! Must finish what I started now!

I’ll be leaving for Malaysia this Sunday and I can’t wait for that. I missed my family now. One of the cons of studying in a foreign country: you will ended up missing your family a lot. I have a list of rants that I really want to post. Which one of these sound the most interesting to you guys?

I know, I have so much on my mind that I need to dump it in this blog. I will definitely post a tutorial on how to create a Twitter plugin. I am planning to write it in a way that it is easier to understand and short, if possible.

I need to continue packing now. :( Why don’t you guys give me suggestions on how to realize all of my to-do list? Especially the ‘work-out’ one. ;)

Baby, I’m So Sorry, Sorry, Yeah!

And here is one of those lame blog post that I am sure most of you had read in some of the blogs that you stalked. It is the post where the author says sorry after disappearing for more than a month. Or worse, a year. Here I am going to apologize for going all MIA without any notice. If we are friends on Facebook, you would have seen me talking and writing statuses about my desire to change Rogue-Dolls layout and update with a new tutorial or write some tips on web designing. I didn’t do all of that! The best part is, I finished designing Rogue-Dolls new layout but too bad that I have no desire to code it. That only leaves me with one option: summer. I’ll change it during the summer break! xD

Stop frowning! In my defense, it was a short three weeks break. Was it three weeks? Well, it went for almost a month. All I wanted to do is finish of some unfinished business like gaming Resident Evil 5 and go all benihana in the cinema since it is super expensive here to watch a movie in the cinema in my current country. I can do all that in Malaysia! Not to mention satisfying guilty pleasures like eating junk foods that can actually send me straight to the hospital if I am 60 years old. I can’t do that once my semester starts since I know that it is the professors’ turn to torture me.

So, what am I up to nowadays? I left Malaysia yesterday and I am back in this country. I am currently jet lagged. It is 7pm here but I am feeling awfully sleepy and tired. I have classes tomorrow which I don’t wanna go! I have to now! You wanna know what is my real ambition before this? Marry a rich, hot guy and just be a trophy wife. But then again, most rich guys tend to be cheating bastards and most of them are either old or bald so I decided to abandon that unrealistic ambition of mine and start going to school and get good grades since I know that I can only rely on myself. Oh well, if only all guys in this world are as hot as those guys in video games and all of them have unrealistic names like Cloud, Kadaj, Dante or Noctis. For example, a hot guy named Noctis Lucis Caelum and he looks like this:

Sadly, those kinds of guys only exist in video games or anime and manga. :(

I just want to wish all of you a happy new year and may you have a great year ahead. 2010 have been an amazing year for me and I hope 2011 will be as amazing or even more amazing. Love y’all!

Devil May Cry 5, Dante and Hideki Kamiya

For those of you who know me well, you know that I love console games. I have an Xbox360 and PS2 back home. No PS3 yet however. Will get one when the time is right. If you know me too well, you know that I am a rabid fan girl of Devil May Cry. What is Devil May Cry? If you are a gamer or an anime lover, you are familiar with the series and the hot twins known as Dante and Virgil. If you are neither, Devil May Cry is a hack and slash video game that centers around a half demon-half human protagonist known as Dante. Check this cute guy out. That is Dante for you:

For girls who are not familiar with the gaming/anime/cosplay world may think that Dante looks like a girl. But for us who are anime and manga addicts, we just love to feast our eyes on Bishounens. Besides, I think that Dante is more manly than Bill Kaulitz, the lead singer of Tokio Hotel. I don’t get the hype about that guy apparently. What is his appeal?

After waiting for almost two years, they had finally announce the release of Devil May Cry 5. Being a loyal fan-girl that I had always been, I started to get excited and wonder whether Virgil will be in the fifth installment too. When I watch the trailer,  I thought I had press a different link to a different game trailer. Unfortunately, it was the correct link and I found out that they had reboot the DMC series and replace a legendary video game character with this:
